The Marketing Research & Data Analyst role is a full-time remote role open to candidates in IL, MI, MN, NC, FL, TX, CO, ID, or RI. Salary range: $76,000–$88,000, plus strong benefits including 20 PTO days, wellness stipends, 401k match, and a professional development budget.

As a Marketing Research & Data Analyst, you will…
Be the analytical brain of the team. Your days will be spent transforming data into stories through hands-on reporting, original research, and ad hoc support. Working closely with strategists, our organic growth studio, and leadership you’ll track results and keep insights flowing, making sure our work doesn’t just look good on paper, but delivers real, measurable results.

Location, Salary & Benefits
- Location: Remote (USA only — must reside in IL, MI, MN, NC, FL, TX, CO, RI, or ID)
- Salary Range: $76,000–$88,000 USD, depending on experience
- Work Schedule: Flexible, with at least 4 hours overlapping Central Time
- PTO: 20 vacation days + 7 personal/sick days + 9 holidays + 1 volunteer day

What You Will Do
- Lead Client Analytics & Insights: Take ownership of monthly and ad-hoc reporting for client accounts, building dashboards, tracking KPIs, and delivering concise, actionable insights that drive real business outcomes.
- Deliver Original Research for Content & PR: Support and execute research projects that power Ten Speed’s thought leadership and content, including data wrangling, drafting charts, and surfacing stats that make headlines.
- Analyze & Support Client Data Projects: Partner with client teams on projects involving surveys or first-party datasets, overseeing data cleaning, analysis (SQL, Python/R), QA, and translating findings into clear narratives for internal and external use.
- Streamline Analytics Systems & Processes: Help maintain lightweight, scalable data systems, documenting methodologies, keeping self-serve dashboards current, and ensuring metric integrity across platforms (GA4, GSC, HubSpot, SEO tools).
- Champion Data Quality, Literacy & Innovation: Advise teammates on data best practices, promote data literacy, and leverage modern AI tools to speed up data cleaning, analysis, and reporting while upholding quality standards.
What You Bring
- 4+ years in marketing analytics or market research, ideall in B2B or SaaS settings.
- Track record of published analyses or research‑backed content where your insights drove real results.
- Strong SQL and working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and charting.
- Hands-on experience with modern analytics platforms; this could be GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, or a comparable BI tool.
- Applied knowledge of practical statistics: sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and a sense for when simple beats complex.
- Clear written communication that turns analysis into executive‑ready insights, not just dashboards.
- Thoughtful use of LLMs to improve analysis and draft reporting while respecting privacy and accuracy.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRM or marketing automation reporting (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) and SEO/website analytics tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar).
- Familiarity with workflow automation, data pipelines, or versioning tools like dbt, Fivetran, Census, or GitHub (even at a basic level).
- Data storytelling or data journalism examples that led to coverage, links, or meaningful engagement.
- Comfort designing or improving lightweight processes and documentation.
